Elroy studied stage design on the Motley Design Course.

He has been an Assistant Designer for The English National Opera, The Young Vic, The Thorndike Theatre Leatherhead and Head of Design for The Haymarket Theatre Basingstoke, The Pitlochery Festival Theatre and The Belgrade Theatre Coventry.

Elroy now works as a freelance designer and has worked for well over 40 production companies, theatres and organisations throughout the U.K.

His work abroad includes Drama in Germany, Austria, Malta, The U.S.A, Ballet in South Africa, New Zealand, The U.S.A., Japan and Opera in Iceland.
